Bayside Cup rules and regulations

Entry Fee

  1. Entry Fee for the Year is $250,  75% will be paid out, 25% will go towards admin and software. 
  2. Send e-transfers to aadiltharani@gmail.com

Handicaps

  1. Golf Canada Index will be used. 
  2. The Bayside committee has put in multiple checks to catch sandbaggers. Sandbagging will not be tolerated an automatic penalty of 3 strokes will be assessed to any sandbaggers. Multiple offenses will result in being banned from future events.
  3. A maximum Handicap of 14 will be used.
  4. The top 3 each week will receive an index adjustment for the following week. Index adjustments will only last one week.

Stableford Scoring

 

  1. Each week we will follow standard Stableford scoring
    1. 4 points net eagle
    2. 3 points net birdie
    3. 2 points net par
    4. 1 point net bogey
    5. 0 points net double bogey pick up and move on

Playing Rules

  1. 1. The Bayside Cup will adhere to USGA Rules.
  2. 2. If you are uncertain about the rules, please consult your playing partners.
  3. 3. If you are still unsure, you may play two balls and we will confirm the rule after the round.
  4. 4. Gimmies inside the black tape on all flags are permitted.
  5. 5. Your first rules infraction will result in automatic disqualification for the week and a 25% deduction in your handicap.
  6. 6. Any subsequent rules infraction will lead to a permanent ban from all Bayside Cup-related tournaments, including the World Cup.
  7. 7. Breaking the rules of golf and sandbagging are considered cheating. Cheaters are not welcome.
  8. Please confirm scores with your playing partner before ending the round.

Bayside Cup Points

  1.  Each week Bayside points will be awarded based on your finish.
    1. 50 Points
    2. 45 points
    3. 40 points
    4. 35 points
    5. 30 points
    6. 25 points
    7. 20 points
    8. 15 points
    9. 12 points
    10. 10 points
    11. 7 points
    12. 7 points
    13. 7 points
    14. 7 points
    15. 7 points
    16. 5 points
    17. 5 points
    18. 5 points
    19. 5 points 
    20. 5 points 
    21. 2 points
    22. 2 points
    23. 2 points
    24. 2 points   
  2. Majors will be worth double. You should try and make the majors
  3. The best 5 weeks will be used to calculate the total points.

Weekly Games

  1. The Weekly game will pay the top 3 as follows:
    1. $125
    2. $75
    3. $40

Majors

  1.  We will have two majors on June 21st and Aug 2 (Combined with club champs). 
  2. Majors are worth double-ranking points
  3. Cash Prizes will also be doubled 

Playoffs

  1.  There will be 2 rounds of playoffs starting Sept 2nd
    1. Round 1 will be held on August 16th and August 23rd. Must play 1 best round will count.
    2. Tour Championship Aug 30th and 31st. The tour championship will be a two-round event.
  2. The top 32 and ties make round 1
  3. Top 24 Make Tour championship. The first round of the playoffs will be held over two weeks your best net score will count if you play both weeks
  4. If you don't make the playoffs you are welcome to join for the weekly game and have some laughs.
  5. At the end of the regular season the following Stableford points will be awarded entering the playoffs.
    1. 1st 8 points
    2. 2nd 7 points
    3. 3rd 6 points
    4. 4th 5 points
    5. 5th 4  points
    6. 6-10 3 points
    7. 11-15 2 points
    8. 16-20 1 points

Scheduling

  1.  We will be using the website to register. Instructions under the How to section
  2. To ensure you get a tee time please register at least 7 days prior to the event .
  3. If you have not entered in your availability you will not have a tee time.

Teebox

  1.  We will be playing the gold/black combo. If you don't like it complain to somebody who cares.
