1. All players must maintain an active Golf Canada Index.

• The 75% Rule: To ensure true skill is rewarded, all matches will be played using 75% of your official index.
• The Ceiling: A Maximum Handicap of 14 is strictly enforced. If your 75% calculation exceeds 14, you will play as a 14.

 2. The "Sandbagger" Zero-Tolerance Policy

The Bayside Committee has implemented multiple proprietary checks to monitor scoring trends.

• Automatic Penalty: Any player flagged for sandbagging will be assessed an immediate 3-stroke penalty for that day.
• The Ban Hammer: Multiple offenses will result in a permanent ban from all future Bayside events.

 3. The "Winner’s Tax" (Index Adjustments)

Success comes with a temporary price to keep the field balanced:

• Back-to-Back Top 3s: If you finish in the Top 3 for two consecutive weeks, you will be assessed a 1-stroke index reduction for the following week.
• This adjustment lasts for one week only before resetting to your 75% Golf Canada Index.

To ensure we are playing the most competitive and fair yardages for all skill levels, the Bayside Committee has finalized the tee assignments. These are the fixed rotations—no exceptions.

Tee Rotation: Gold / Black Combo

• The Challenge: This hybrid layout is designed to test your long game and your precision.
• Handicapping: Your Squabbit and Golf Canada index will be automatically adjusted based on the specific slope and rating of this combo at each course.

To keep the competition centered on skill and consistency, all weekly scoring is based on 75% of your official Golf Canada Index.

• Example: If your Index is 12.0, your Bayside Cup Playing Handicap for the week is 9.

We use a Net Triple Bogey maximum for every hole. This ensures that one "disaster hole" doesn't mathematically eliminate you from the weekly points, while also keeping the pace of play moving.

Important Distinction: This is a Net Triple Bogey, not a standard Triple Bogey.
Standard Triple: 3 strokes over par (e.g., a 7 on a par 4).
Net Triple: 3 strokes over your Net Par (Par + your handicap stroke for that hole).

How to calculate your Max Hole Score:

1. Determine if you get a stroke on the hole based on your 75% index.
2. If you get a stroke: Your max score is Par + 1 (Stroke) + 3.
3. If you do NOT get a stroke: Your max score is Par + 3.

The Bayside Cup strictly adheres to USGA Rules of Golf.

• Uncertainty: If you are unsure of a rule, consult your playing partners immediately.
• The "Two-Ball" Rule: If a consensus cannot be reached, play a second ball (Rule 20.1c). Record both scores and the Committee will provide a final ruling after the round.

To maintain the pace of play, gimmies are permitted if the ball is inside the black tape marked on all flagsticks. If you are outside the tape, you must hole out. No exceptions.

Breaking the rules of golf or sandbagging are considered cheating. Cheaters are not welcome in this league.

• First Infraction: Automatic Disqualification (DQ) for the week and a 25% permanent deduction in your playing handicap.
• Second Infraction: An immediate and permanent ban from all Bayside Cup-related tournaments, including the World Cup.

Before walking off the 18th green, you must confirm your gross scores with your playing partner.

• Attestation: By submitting your score to the Committee, you and your partner are attesting that the round was played according to the USGA and Bayside Cup local rules.

We will be using the Squabbit App to monitor the field in real-time.

• The Red Indicator: If your group falls behind the allotted time, the Squabbit app will trigger a slow-play indicator.
• The Warning: If you see your group is "In the Red," you must immediately pick up the pace to close the gap with the group ahead.

If a group finish their round while the Squabbit indicator shows they are significantly behind and they have failed to catch up:

• The Penalty: An automatic 1-stroke penalty will be assessed to each player in that group for the week.
• Appeals: Unless there was a significant medical emergency or a ruling that required the "Two-Ball" procedure, the Squabbit data is final.

Points are awarded based on your final net position each week. The more competitive the finish, the more points you bank toward the Mickelson Finale cut-line.

To determine the season-long standings, we use a "Best 5 Weeks" calculation.

• Your total season score is the sum of your 5 highest-scoring rounds.
• This allows for "Life to Happen"—if you go on vacation or have a rough outing, it doesn't stay on your permanent record.
• Consistency vs. Peak Performance: To stay in the Top 36, you need at least five solid finishes. One win (50 pts) and four 10th-place finishes (40 pts) puts you at 90 points for the season.

Majors are the cornerstone of the Bayside Cup. These events feature increased point values.

• The Strategy: Because only your best 5 weeks count, a high finish in a Major is the fastest way to lock in your spot for the Mickelson Finale.
• Schedule: Major dates will be announced in the official league calendar. Mark these in your phone now.

Every week, the Bayside Cup features a guaranteed payout for the top of the leaderboard and a highly competitive $150 Skins Pot.

• 1st Place (Net): $100
• 2nd Place (Net): $50
• Note: Tie-breakers are determined by the back-nine total, then the final six, then the final three.

To win a piece of the weekly $150 pot, your play must meet these three strict requirements:

• Skins are only awarded for Net Pars or better.
• If the lowest unique score on a hole is a Net Bogey, no skin is awarded for that hole.

• A Gross score always beats a Net score of the same value.
• Example: Player A makes a Gross 3 (Birdie). Player B makes a Gross 4 / Net 3 (Birdie). Player A wins the skin.

• To "lock in" a skin, you must verify it on the very next hole.
• The Requirement: You must card a Net Par or better on the hole immediately following your potential skin.
• The Fail: If you win a skin on Hole 4 but card a Net Bogey on Hole 5, your skin is voided.

Only the most consistent "Grinders" of the summer will survive the points reset to reach the Tour Championship in mid-September.

• The "32" Club: The Top 32 players (and ties) from the final regular-season rankings qualify for Round 1 of the Playoffs.
• The "Bum-Up" Rule: If a qualified player in the Top 32 confirms they cannot make either of the Round 1 dates, their spot will be filled by the next player in the final rankings (starting with 33rd place).
  
  • Committee Note: Please confirm your availability with the Committee by August 15th to facilitate smooth bracket management.
• The Consolation Group: If you do not make the playoff cutoff (even after bumps), you are still welcome to join for the weekly game, compete for skins, and have some laughs while watching the drama unfold.

Your hard work during the regular season gives you a strategic "head start" entering the playoffs. Based on your final regular-season rank (after the Top 5 calculation), you will start the playoffs see image 

The first round is held over two consecutive weekends.

• The Format: You may play in both playoff weekends or just one.
• The Scoring: Your single best net score (at 75% index) from these two weeks will count toward your playoff standing.
• The Final Total: Your Total Playoff Score = Starting Points + (Round 1 Best Net Score vs. Par).
• The Cut: Only the Top 24 players (by Total Playoff Score) will advance to the Tour Championship. Tie-breakers are based on the best final regular-season ranking.

The final showdown. The Top 24 players face off in a single-round (or designated weekend) finale to determine the Bayside Cup Champion.

• The Winner: The player with the highest combined total of Starting Points and Playoff performance (from Round 1 and the Tour Championship) is crowned the Champion and takes home the Cup.

By completing payment and accepting this receipt, you (“Participant”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

• Recording & Media Consent: You consent to being recorded, filmed, photographed, and/or otherwise captured by Bayside Cup and/or KG METHOD GOLF.
• Usage Rights: You grant Bayside Cup and/or KG METHOD GOLF a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use your name, image, likeness, voice, and participation in any media, including websites, social media, YouTube, advertising, and other commercial or monetized purposes.
• No Compensation: You understand that you will receive no compensation, royalties, or additional payment for such use.
• Waiver of Review: You waive any rights to review, approve, or restrict the use of the content.
• Release of Liability: You release Bayside Cup and/or KG METHOD GOLF from any claims related to the use of this media, including privacy or publicity claims.
• Legal Age & Authority: You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these terms.
